Dimensions

This multi-figure Coast Salish pole features a raven, killer whale, and pair of human faces. The pole was originally sold out of the Hudson Bay Fur Co. curio department in Seattle.

There is a remnant of a sticker on the back that identifies it as such. Although this is not a full copy of the Seattle Totem in Pioneer Square, both the raven and the killer whale are based on its designs. An excellent example of an early Salish model pole. 17”H.

PERIOD: Early 20th Century

ORIGIN: Plateau - Salish, Native American

SIZE: 17" height
