About 1900-05 a train carrying Indians was wrecked outside a little town near Chicago called Maywood. The doctor in charge, Mrs. Clark's father, took two of the Indian's children into his home. This charm belonged to one of them - a little boy named Tommie - Comes - Laughs. His mother gave it to the doctor. The charm passed to the daughter Mrs. Chas. M. Clark - Indian Hill.
