(1896-1975) Oil on canvas; 24 1/2" x 30". Ornate gold enamel frame. Born in Kansas; self-taught, Prairie Band, Potawatomie artist. Shipshee's first job was a dishwasher at the historic Brown Palace Hotel in Denver, Colorado, and later taught at the Haskell Indian Nation School in Kansas. Well listed.
