Pair of Merganser decoys somewhat in the manner of Lothrop Holmes. The detail for spectrum, comb and neck parallel the artist's brush for incredible detail. The pair was part of an interesting eclectic collection from a New York ambassador. The drake measures 18"L x 18" around at the widest point. Head and neck measure 13" from the comb to the base where the beak measures 7.5" from the tip of the beak to the back of the head. The hen body measures 17.5"L x 18" around at the widest point. The head and neck measures 12" from the comb to the base where the beak measures 8" from the tip of beak to back of the head. Used condition.
