(1888 - 1977). Watercolor; 20" x 24". Born in Choteau, MT; Dan was the adopted son of Buffalo Bill. Muller's father was a quarter blood Piegan Blackfeet, a freelance scout in Dakota with Buffalo Bill. Raised on the Cross-Up Ranch near the headwaters of the Tetons. Muller was influenced by meeting Charles Russell. At age 9 he went to live with Buffalo Bill in North Platte, NE. He traveled with the Buffalo Bill Show in 1911 & 1912, joining in a Cody film on the West in 1913. When Cody died in 1917, Muller rode from Canada to Mexico before settling into Elko, NV. In WWI he broke horses for the Army and taught riding. In 1920 he sold landscapes to tourists in Yellowstone Park. He published three books - "Horses" in 1936, "Chico" in 1938, and "My Life with Buffalo Bill" in 1948.
