This model pole was carved by a Coast Salish artist in British Columbia sometime in the 1950s or 1960s. It features a thunderbird over an inverted whale, bear, songbird (robin?), and an unidentified humanoid face. This pole is intricately carved and painted and packs a lot of figures into a diminutive 14 inches.
