Winchester Model 1894 lever-action ranch rifle in 25-35 caliber. Features 20" octagon barrel (cut down from 26"),oiled walnut stock, and cresent butt plate. Roughly 40% blueing remaining with golden brown patina. A ranch rifle is a term used when the barrel of a non-carbine rifle was cut down to carbine length. Common with ranchers who wanted a higher quality rifle but a shorter barrel for carrying on horseback.
