Inuit carved Eskimo of seal skin with bone face (possibly muskrat) fur attire, ivory face with baleen features on wood base. Marked "OOYAHTOANAH" on base. These carvings were usually small carvings, representing local animals and Inuit themselves, going about everyday life. Seals, caribou, polar bears, birds, and other animals important to Inuit’s survival were often represented.
