Ditidaht/Nuu-chah-Nulth multi-figure model pole by the late John T. Williams. This pole is deeply carved and brightly painted in the Williams family signature style and features a beaver, wolverine or badger, and killer whale. This pole was purchased directly from the Ye Olde Curiosity Shop in Seattle, Washington, in 1985. The clean painting and carving on this pole reflect the best of the Williams family’s iconic style. This pole has a leather tong on the back and was intended to be hung on the wall. On the verso: "Hand Carved/Indian Made/From the World Famous/Ye Olde Curiosity Shop/Seattle, WA/Since 1899” with an inventory number and Williams’ carved signature. Carved of white cedar. 18"H x 3 1/2" x 3 1/2"
