Robert Yellowhair Sr. (1937-2016) was a nationally recognized jewelry maker, artist, and saddle maker. Though with no formal training, he spent countless hours studying the work of great artists such as Charles Russell, fostering his natural-born talent. His Navajo heritage greatly influenced his work, which frequently features kachinas, pottery, baskets, and animals native to his home of Northeastern Arizona. He has won several prizes with his art at shows across the South and Northwestern states.
