Sherry is well known for her commission portraits, figurative and historical works, her subject matter knows no boundaries. She is continually motivated by the breathtaking scenery and spirited people that surround her in her native Montana. She portrays her enthusiam and appreciation of suvbjects througfh her use of color, texture and the play of light and dark, and always tries to leave something for the viewer's imagination. Gallagher developed her talent as an artist at an early age by sketching and painting horses on her parent's ranch. She currently resides in Great Falls, MT, where she works from her studio on the Missouri River. The mostly self-taught artist works in oil, pastel, watercolor, and mixed media. Sherry teaches workshops and classes throughout the United States and Canada.
