(1948 - )"Autumn Canopy by Stream" by Nancy Dunlop Cawdrey. Mixed media on silk over mat. 38" x 86". Well framed and matted. Frame 55" x 52". A Montana artist, Nancy works in a variety of media including oil, watercolor, pastel, and silk. She studied in France and England before settlign in northwest Montana, and her teathers include R.S. Ruddick, Linda Tippetts, and Joe Abbrescia. And, although silk painting is now her medium of choice, she continued to explore a variety of subjects in watercolor, pastel and experimental media to which Crawdrey gives a modern twist with her bold colors and western subjects. Her work is represented in galleries in Jackson, Cody, Carmel, and Bigfork. Her work is included in invitational art shows across the West, like the Annual C.M. Russell Show and Auction, the Buffalo Bill Art Show and Sale, National Cowgirl Museum "Heart of the West" Invitational, the Cowgirl Up! Show at The Desert Caballeros Museum. She is a signature Member on the Montana Watercolor Society. Her work is exhibited in many private and corporate collections across the country and in Europe.
