Dimensions

Polychrome flared finely woven Pomo basket with geometric designs. The background material is sedge and the design material is dyed bull rush root. Collectors inked initials DSM on inside rim. Initials are from Daisy Maccallum of Crescent City, CA. She had significant collection mostly from local Pomo people in the area or working for her husband Alex in a lumber mill in the area. Most of her baskets are now in the California State Native Heritage Museum though a few have appeared for sale. Another is in the collection of the Grace Hudson Museum in Ukiah, CA. 5" x 2"
