Features a 6-shot fluted cylinder, spurred trigger guard, rounded butt contour with humpback grip straps and a 7" barrel marked Smith & Wesson Springfield Mass. U.S.A. Pat. Jan. 17 & 24, 65. July 11, 65. Aug. 24, 69. Jan. 19, 1875. Reissue July 25, 1871. The bottom of the frame features Japanese navel markings (anchor with two wavy lines.) Other markings include two arrows on the barrel hinge and matching serial numbers on the cylinder, grip strap and barrel. The condition of the bluing is around 85% however heavy pitting on the grips straps beneath the wood grips indicates this revolver was most likely reblued at some point. Serial Number 2362.
