Colt Model 1860 Army Revolver. 44 caliber, 6-shot rebated cylinder, 8" round barrel with creeping style loading lever. Original walnut grips. Brass trigger guard stamped US. The revolver is period built with parts from four separate firearms. The barrel has a serial number of 126858, the frame 74704, the trigger guard 139604 and the backstrap 44510. The trigger guard has a notch where a shoulder stock would have attached. The frame has the cuts for the shoulder stock but is the three screw type. The four screw type was earlier and required for a shoulder stock. The revolver features a consistent dark brown patina across all parts. The naval scene on the cylinder is completely worn off, as are all barrel markings and caliber markings.
