Yellow Owl's pipe tomahawk with early catlinite head and long beaded drop. This was acquired recently from Yellow Owl, a Lakota Sioux along the Cheyenne River; now 90+ years. Had been in his family for generations. Said to have been used by his grandfather after the Battle of Wounded Knee when they were not allowed to carry a steel blade. 21" plus drop, head 8".
