Carved on base in French - "The commune of Vohrenbach for Dear Sir Captain Leader of the place Vohrenbach, 14 July 1945." It was a present from the inhabitants of the Black Forest village Vohrenbach to their leader of the village after the end of the Second World War. The item is signed by master carver Fr. Kaltenbach - 21"H x 23"W x 7"D. A few cracks from age.
