This model totem pole was carved by well-known Musqueam master carver Alec Peters and features an eagle over a bear and a human. It is signed on the back "Alec Peters Musqueam, Tonto, Tribal number 1410192." The Musqueam Indian Community is a First Nations band whose unceded territory covers the campus of UBC and much of the city of Vancouver. The Musqueam and UBC, and especially the Museum of Anthropology at UBC, have built a special relationship over the last several decades and work together on important cultural initiatives. 24"H
