Miniature walking polar bear carved from walrus ivory featuring a realistically carved animal with its neck outstretched and head turned very slightly towards the left. The left front leg is positioned forward and the left hind leg is behind those on the right side. Its eyes are inset with black baleen and there is a dark crack on the right side of the head, forward of the ear. Craftsman unknown. Inuit, Hall Beach, Nunivut Territory Canada.
