Large parfleche cylinder made of horsehide; 20" plus fringe, 6" dia at lid. Lid made of two-layer horsehide; all covered with red ochre. Chief's medicine bundle, including flower sack of cedar fans, catlinite T-pipe and stem, tobacco twist, scrotum rattle, pipe tamper, hank of sweetgrass, and feathered fan (painted turkey feathers); estimate first quarter 20th century, may be older, still researching. Belonged to a warrior/ chief. Pulled out of the museum for trade by a great granddaughter.
