Medium size, round bodied jar with a short neck and out-turned rim. Construction by coil and scrape; paste color, interior and exterior surfaces are brown. Temper is a fine multi lithic sand and angular white rock which does not protrude, but is visible on unslipped surfaces and around the rim. Decoration consists of a thick, black paint applied over a red slip. Light polishing appears to be after paint and the black paint areas are duller than the slip. Slip is applied onteh inner rim surface and on the exterior to below the vessel mid point, leaving the bottom unslipped. The design field is halved and repeated. Each half consists of a large and a small semi interlocking solid triangle icon, 1.5-2.5mm lines and a short interlocking line spiral. Three cracks extending down from the rim, some paint fading around the mid point, minor black chemical deposits.
