The barrel has a heavy brown patina and areas of old pitting near the nipple. The cracks in the butt stock are stable. The crack near the ramrod insert is delicate. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAffixed to the right-hand side of the stock is a brass cutout of the state of Texas. It appears to have been added at the time the stock was refinished. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe long gun comes with a more contemporary brain tanned scabberd with Native-style beading.
