While the action is mechanically functional, the lockplate appears to be a later replacement that is held in place by a rawhide wrap. The stocks are damaged and cracked near the lockplate, and the barrel has a 3\" crack on the right side near the foreend. The ramrod tubes are a much later replacement while the ramrod itself may be original to the rifle.
