Native painted P1853 Enfield percussion rifle with 50 cal. 39” barrel. Stock marked Cooper & Goodman, a firearm manufacturer that was based out of Birmingham, England. Lock is marked “Tower” with the date of “1861” above. Barrel contains proof marks. The brass butt plate has been stamped with a number 12. Rifle features a full walnut stock, painted in red, black and yellow by a Native American. A great example of an Indian War period rifle. Missing the original ramrod, adjustable flip-up sight and one sling mount.
