Navajo Golden Hill turquoise and sterling silver dangle earrings in an oval shape. Single grade A quality, natural untreated stone with great depth on sterling post. Made by Navajo silversmith Diane Wylie. Stamped sterling with maker's hallmark. Desert Lavender, or Golden Hill Turquoise is one of the most distinct-looking turquoise pieces out in the turquoise market. Although it has only been introduced in the US around 2018, its undeniable beauty truly stands out! Its light baby blue appearance coupled with light brown to brown, to ‘lavender’ matrixes are quite distinguishable and definitely scene-stealing! Hailing from a renowned silversmithing family in Crownpoint, NM, Diane Wylie has been creating jewelry since her early teens. She learned the art of silversmithing from her parents, cousins, and extended family, absorbing a variety of styles and techniques. Diane’s ability to blend traditional and contemporary designs has earned her recognition in the Native jewelry community. As one of the remaining super silversmiths in her family, Diane is committed to passing on her skills to the next generation. Her patience, precision, and passion are evident in every piece she crafts.
