Joan was born in Gordon, Nebraska, was a talented artist who dedicated her life to creating detailed paintings that capture the essence of western life in the Sandhills. Her work, such as "Buck's Blacks," depicts scenes from her ranching days and has been displayed at various shows across Nebraska and South Dakota. Joan's artistry was recognized with honors from Nebraska Ducks Unlimited and the White House Christmas Tree in Washington D.C.
